I Pray.....

"I Pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, What are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and What is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might. "

Eph. 1: 18-19

This past week I started reading through Ephesians again. I really did it so that I could follow along with our House Church in Chiang mai. I miss them so much! It was one way to get back into the word again after getting so busy with life that I allowed my q/t to suffer. So here is what I took away from Eph. 1.

It is alway good to be reminded of our roots and adoption into the Family of God. How many times do we forget our own birth story into the Kingdom? Paul reminded me yet again of the amazing steps that God took to prepare a way for me to enter into His family!

Being Chosen, called and given purpose is just plain AMAZING!

What really spoke to me though was verses 18 and 19.

It dawned on me that my eyes had been shut ever since my quiet time had come to a complete stop. I was totally walking in my own strength and it was so evident in my "reaction" to life and the hurdles that were before me.

I wonder? Are your eyes open? Do you know what is the Hope of His Calling? What are the riches of the Glory of His inheritance in the saints (those who are born again into Christ)? Do you know what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe? And have you forgotten or have you not "seen" that these are ain accordance with the working of the strength of His might?

During the week it became clear to me that I needed to REFRESH my memory of these things. To dig in the word and be reminded and to reclaim my inheritance. I hadn't lost it but I had set it aside and picked up other things that couldn't help me along the road I was journeying.

My prayer is that as you start today- that the Eyes of your Heart will be opened and you will live out what is evident in you- The hope of His calling in your life ( remembering that what He calls you to do , He will enable you to do it) what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. ( you need not worry for tomorrow - for He will provide for you not just in the physical sense but also in the spiritual/ physical) , what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, ( we are His children and He has equipped us to do what He has called us to do)

So make certain today that you prepare your heart and be aware of the things Father has for you today!

Here's to keeping the " EYES OF OUR HEART WIDE OPEN"
