I thought it might be good to take some time to study in the word today and maybe you can use some of the study tools on the site to dig a bit deeper.
Lord- Speak to us and show us areas in our lives that we are not walking in TRUTH and speak to us about the areas in our lives where we are not Loving in Truth. Lord, we truly do desire to Christ-like. I pray for transparency and honesty because Lord, you already know us and see who we really are in side at the core of our being. Show us and teach us Lord!
I pray this in Your name, the Name of Jesus!

The Truth is : This letter wasn't just written to a "chosen" lady and her children, it was also written for you and me. So, as you read this letter, take a moment to ready yourself for what TRUTH is in it. What is it that the Lord is speaking to you about through this letter? I'll share my thoughts in closing.

4-6 Walking in Truth: doing what the Father tells us, love one another, this is love that we walk according to His commandments, and that we should walk in it.
7-11 there are many deceivers: they are; those who do not acknowledge Jesus coming in the flesh, watch ourselves that we may not lose what we have already accomplished by shrinking back and not doing as we ought(Heb 10:38), we should abide in the teaching if we do this we will have both the Father and the Son. Do not receive anyone who teaches contrary to the TRUTH, do not receive him into your house or give him a greeting, for if we give him a greeting we are participating in his evil deeds.
12 Some things need to be spoken face to face: talking face to face can bring joy to those who see you.
13 “The children of your chosen sister greet you”.
What does this book say about someone who does not abide in the teaching of Christ?
Do you know someone who could fit that description?
What should you do?
Are you careful to walk in all the truth you know?
Do you realize that before God, you are responsible to live out the truth that has been entrusted to you?
Did you know that when the Lord speaks TRUTH to you and I through the Word of God, that if we do not walk in it then we are not walking in the Truth that we know?
How then does that have an effect on us?
According to 2 John, what does it mean to walk in love? Are you doing this?
Personally, as I read this book I was taken back to an event in my life and I'll share it tomorrow with you but today, I just wanted to share that I've been reminded that I've become comfortable with looking at myself in the mirror. I'm ready to get real and make some more changes.
What are some of those changes? Well, to start- when the Lord speaks to me about an area of concern in my life then I need to be diligent to work on it and to seek Christ's likeness rather than accepting a lukewarm christian life. My Joy is more full when I'm striving to be Christ like. When I have a thirst for His righteousness.
Today: the word that stands out and challenges me is from verse 6: " And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments."
Lord, help me to walk according to Your Commandments. Help us all to desire to Love in Truth and Walk in Truth.
