2 Corinthians 2

2 Corinthians 2 - Wednesday

Paul writes to complete the process of what looks like the full completion of what he wrote the church about in 1 Corinthians. Maybe it isn't the same person being restored but no matter the process would be the same. Reprove, forgive, and bring the individual back into body, all of this done in LOVE!
2:8-10 " Wherefore I urge you to reaffirm your love for him. For to this end also I wrote , so that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things. But one whom you forgive anything , I forgive also, for indeed what I have forgiven, If I hae forgiven anything, I did it for your sakes in the presence of Christ."

Sisters, have you ever had a broken relationship with a friend? Did you try to reconcile with the person but they would not have it? I have, and I can tell you that I desire to see that relationship brought back into rightness. However, we aren't always able to do this - it does require that both parties desire rightness.

What I find comforting in todays passage is that we need not worry about how the other responds. Our concern should be our obedience and making sure we are right in the presence of Christ.

Have you done all you need to do to be right in the presence of Christ.

Let this verse encourage us:
" But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place."

I do pray that you will have the sweet aroma of Christ today!

Have a blessed Day,

Melissa
