The New Year

Dear Ladies,

Before we continue on to Chapter 3 in 1 John. I wanted to just take a few minutes to challenge you to start this New Year with the mind set of Change!

My husband, Dwayne, asked me what my New Years Resolution would be and I hadn't really ever made "new years resolutions" I always saw it as a joke rather than something people took seriously. However, my husband said something that challenged me and he shared about a pastor who every year learned something new in 3 area, mind, body and soul. The pastor actually chose three things that were from these areas. My husband shared that he wanted to do this and he shared his goals for this new year. I was amazed at what he wanted to accomplish in these areas. I thought this was just a great way to set my mind on changing a few things, becoming good at a few things, and doing somethings that I've never done but have always longed to do.

Then this last sunday our teacher asked what things will we do in preparation for Christ's Return? Will we have confidence in His return or will we shrink away in shame?

This year I would just like to challenge you to chose some goals in these three areas: Mind, Body, and Soul: Think about them, share them with a trusted friend who will hold you accountable and then be fruitful!

Have a wonderful and Blessed Year Ladies! May you walk in the Light of our Savior!

Happy New Year~
