2 Corinthians 12

2 Corinthians 12

“ For if I do wish to boast I shall not be foolish, for I shall be speaking the truth; but I refrain from this, so that no one may credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me.” 12:7

“and because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, to keep me from exalting myself!”

I have often wondered as many of us have what Paul’s thorn in the flesh was ? It has caused me to wonder out loud to the Lord and ask the question, “ Lord, do you really put things in our lives to keep us humble? Do You really allow the enemy such power as to cause pain and suffering in our lives so that we remain mindful of our need for You?”
I think as I’ve asked these questions and with examples such as Paul’s the answer would have to be a resounding YES! BUT! – The Lord also gave with that Thorn in the Flesh something Paul would draw on day in and day out; as too we will when we experience such things.
“ My grace is sufficient for you, for Power is perfected in weakness.” Vs9

Lord, I pray for those ladies who are may be experiencing a Thorn in their flesh that they too would draw on your grace that is sufficient and that they would learn what the reason for the Thorn, if it is like Paul who needed to be mindful of his pride then I pray Lord your work would be accomplished through every means you use!

May you be Glorified in our lives today!
I pray this in your name
The name of Jesus.
Amen………..
