1 John 2:7- 11
“The one who says he is in the light and yet hates his brother is in the darkness until now. The one who loves his brother abides in the light and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes.”
Today is one of those days that causes me to realize how very important it is for us as believers to be in “right” relationships with every brother. I have found over the years that there truly are people that I just don’t like, get along with, enjoy being around or even in worse cases just want to avoid all together. However ! The Lord has really been teaching me what it “truly” means to abide in HIS LOVE! There is no discrimination in His eyes and heart. I found myself seriously looking at others and thinking, Lord, how do you love them or more importantly how can you love me.
Some how ladies, we have to seriously look at this and consider it. I think this verse is so important and this is a very serious issue when we are trying to walk in the Light or abide in Christ!
Today, let us consider our thoughts, our hearts, our actions, our attitudes, our behavior and decide that we will not walk in the darkness and fulfill the fleshly desires but rather we will walk in the light and fulfill the things of the spirit.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another , even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are MY disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13: 34-35
Lord, I pray that we would live out this new commandment and walk in Your light.
I pray this in Your Name the Name of the Lord.
