2 Corinthians 6

2 Corinthians 6

Here we go ladies, Chapter 6 is hitting us yet again in the area of BEING CHANGED WITH IN!

Paul is writing and in this chapter he is talking to the other believers who are laboring along side him.

6:3: “We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.”

Paul writes this letter to bring up the subject of living your life in such a way that from it your ministry may not be blamed.

“Don’t be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?”
while the issue back then might have been marriage today it is still the same and I might even bring up the issue of making friends with unbelievers.

I have seen the stress that comes from being unequally yoked together with unbelievers can cause. I have seen it lived out in friends who married unbelieving spouses. I’ve seen my own kids learn valuable lessons about friendships and how being unequally yoked in friendships with unbelievers can wreck your testimony.

I pray that today you would take the day to think about what are some things that you are unequally yoked together with , unbelievers, music, movies and I’m sure you might can come up with some other things.

Maybe there is someone you have witnessed to and shared with who knows you well. Do you think “your life” is the thing that is giving offense to them coming to faith.
I have heard this not too long ago that some one had been presented the gospel and they work with believers. They were asked why are you choosing not to believe. Their response? How can I believe in their God when they act like that! I’m a better person than they are! ----- Ladies, I personally pray I am not a stumbling block for those seeking the gospel.

Lord- help us to walk a life that draws people to you rather than cause them to stumble and not believe in you! Lord we pray this in your Name!
The Name of Jesus,
amen
