Truth

It's Christmas time again ~ a time for us to focus our thoughts not on the season of giving but on Christ! His coming and bringing Salvation to all in and through his Death and Resurrection.

This morning driving to work I was listening to a radio station and they were discussing how in our city of Auburn we are no longer calling the Christmas Tree that but have now called it the Holiday Tree. Now as you can imagine that is just taking the rights of some too far!

It brought something home to me in a way I think the Lord is tryin to teach me how to be more bold in my proclamation of the Gospel of TRUTH!

I'm currently reading " The Truth Wars" by John Mac Arthur. I have just started it but this is one of the very things he discusses in the introduction of the book. One point which stuck out to me was that He says, " He(God) alone defines and delimits what is true." It struck me this morning as the broadcaster was malanting about how some are taking Christ out of everything that - they are people who don't know TRUTH! They have rejected Christ God's son who is Truth. So then they are being decieved to think that they have knowledge and understanding of spiritual things but the Word of God says, " The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge." ( prov. 1:7) with out a real fear of God; who HE is , one can not truly have knowledge that is TRUTH! ......

So where am I going? Well, I'm headed to the place of TRUTH! Taking a stand for TRUTH. WE are truly in an age where false teachers and false doctrines are dictating what is TRUTH! When will we ( Followers of Christ) stand up for TRUTH. AT what point will we decided- Oh now they've gone too far!

Sure Christmas has been commercialized and materialized but for some of us it still holds a very precious meaning and special tradition of remembering the Birth of our Savior. Christ !

I just had to post something today on this topic. I want to challenge us all to begin asking ourselves when will it be enough for us to stand up for TRUTH! When will we begin to make a stand and do something about our RIGHTS to have TRUTH! IT isn't about protesting or boycotting but rather a life style that says we will proclaim it at every opportunity. It's taking time to have conversations with people and when they say happy holidays we say, Oh no it's not just any holiday- It's Christmas!

We don't stand for Truth any more because sadly, we ourselves have lost Boldness to speak it!
