Consider Your Ways

I am always challenged and at times blown away when I read the Word of God.

Ezra has been such a blessing to me.

I have just learned so much about the Old Testament. I know for some this may seem like a childish thing but I didn't realize that Haggi and Zechariah were written during the days of Ezra.. Oh and Esther too! HOW COOL!

One thing I realized after finishing Ezra was that God had a plan to see the Temple rebuilt. He had chosen men to help lead the people to the task. He stirred the hearts of kings to give from their wealth so that the Temple would be built. He caused nations to fear the people of God and gave strength to the men who were working on the construction of the Temple. He heard their praise and received the Glory of His people. He interviened when they became weak and fearful. He restored their vision to enable them to trust Him at His word and He spoke to them and told them that He was with them and that they needed to take Courage and nto fear men. He said, " My spirit is abiding in your midst Do not Fear." Haggi 2: 1-4-

Here's what I was challenged with:

Have I given too much attention and time to my personal life and needs but neglected the things of God that are important for the spreading of the gospel?

I was thinking back in my life when God used supernatural events to shape my life to cause me to move in a direction that ultimately brought about Salvation to those who might not have ever heard had that event not taken place in my life.

And finally, When I get discouraged in serving the Lord on the field, even now ! Do I really have the right to quit? What do I need to do to restore my courage and persevere with determination to be found faithful to what God has called me too. And ultimately leave the outcome to God. Even if it means my death- my weakness, my lonliness, my...... "you fill in the blank".

Today, I just hope that you have been challenged - Remember God is AT WORK in your life to fulfill a special purpose. It may not be to rebuild the Temple but it has such significance. What are you going to do?

Remember!

God is with you in your Midst! Take Courage !
