How does one reflect on the resurrection of Christ and not be amazed at the fact that He conquered Death by being raised from the dead. I reflect each year on the death of Jesus Christ and I am in awe of the fact that He conquered death for us all. The fact that life is a gift how much more is the gift of eternal life; death conquered. For me each year Easter brings a time of total reflection on how I'm doing in living out the life God has given me. I am challenged each year to grow and become more Christ like; to die to self and realize that my life is not my own.
My life is rich and full because of Christ. If it were not for His willingness to die for me, I would be nothing. Lost and without hope and with no real sense of true joy. But thankfully, He fulfilled His purpose and died for the sins of the world, was raised from the dead and offered to me the free gift of Eternal life; for which I willingly accepted. With that being said, I don't understand at times why I seem to make it much harder on myself than it was meant to be. In Christ I have been promised a life of Joy, Peace, Hope and of Love. It challenges me to grow in these areas as I grow to understand the sacrifice Christ gave for me.
This Easter is like all the others; a time of reflection over the past year. To see how much change has occurred in my life as a direct influence of Christ in my life. It is also a time of Hope to know that while I don't know what tomorrow holds I can stand firm in the truth of knowing that MY LORD Is NOT DEAD but Is ALIVE!
I look forward to the year ahead knowing this : " For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in (ME) will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." Phil. 1: 6
Life is not something to be dreaded but lived with the knowledge that in Christ, death has been conquered. So we press on through the challenges set before us knowing that in Him all things are possible. (Matt.19:26)
To Life!
