Girl time

Off on our fun adventure!

Well, it's not your typical "houseboat" but for T-land it was still good. We had a great time just the girls; out on an adventure.
We left at 10am so to get there in plenty of time to enjoy the water and sun. However, we had so much fun playing road games and laughing we missed our turn. We then turned around to ask for directions because we knew we weren't too far away from the location of these "houseboats". However, our very nice thai friends seemed to enjoy the pictures of the Houseboat brochure more than he fancied helping us find them. After a little while we smiled and thanked them for their kindness and willingness to help us and pressed on down the road in search for our final destination. Yep, the houseboats.

We saw the Dam Wall and that started, no triggered the giggles in us all when we heard one of the other ladies say, " There's the Dam Wall we should be close now!" After of course we all closed our mouths and looked up we busted out laughing because we all thought she had totally lost it. :) This moment caused a gush of memories to flood into my mind. It wasn't until I heard the girls in the back busting a gut that I realized Kayla remembered it too.

That Dam wall has so many Dam rocks it just Holding back all that Dam water..........

I know - really I do! I know what all of you are thinking..... But it was just stupid funny.... Then someone else said, What about the Dam Man who runs that Dam. I think you get the point.

We were a bit on the silly side by this time and we snapped out of it pretty fast, mostly due to the fact that we were (pause) LOST!

However, it turned a bit on the other side of silly when we saw all the elephants strolling along the hill side next to the road. We all turned from silly girls to gawking girls and the oh how sweet just flowed from our lips...

"Look he's splashing himself with dirt, oh, oh he must be hot"

" No look the little one is swinging his trunk.... bless his little heart.. " another said.

"Uh, Mom?" " I think we are really lost" said another.

" Giggle- no honey, I meant to drive an hour this way just to show you that Dam wall and these cute little Elephants." said one mom.

" Hellooooo? Mom I have to go ......." Said Kayla.

" Ah, Kayla? We are trying to go but we have to determine which way." Melissa said with a bit of - pause.

" No Mom! I have to go ! "

"Kayla, where do you have to go? "

In unison, " TO THE BATHROOM" . said the three girls

"OH- laughing out loud! Sorry, we'll stop right up here! "

So we pull of the road and try to get our bearings and then decide we must have passed it so we allowed Kayla to go .... and then we headed out.

Did I mention that we turned up a very small narrow dirt road? Oh and that it had string strung all over the trees and road? Which typically means it was blessed by the Monks. For which seemed to make us all giggle at the thought that we were driving under it and then as we passed it we accidently pulled the string down and it got stuck on our antenna. Which then caused the girls to say, we have officially blessed the trees, thanks to Kayla and they have blessed the car......

What a hoot.

We laughed more in the 3 hours of us getting to those silly "Houseboats" ... .it was just good girl time!

We had to take a long boat out on the lake about a 20 minute ride and there they were.... out on the lake. Lake houses... Hello? Don't people know what a House Boat is? I guess they didn't realize usually a House - boat means a boat turned into a House but these were really a house on the water... :)

now that is just wrong.. House boat...... that is.

We swam and had a great ole time it turned dark pretty fast but we had a great first day of our outing and we were pretty tired from all the swimming and laughing. So off to bed we went.

Lights out!

but no sleep!

more on the adventure later- hopefully I'll have pictures for you tomorrow!

*** sorry if the use of dam offended anyone.. it wasn't used in the way you think but just as a descriptive word for those things that live in and around the Dam. - sometimes we have to just have to let our hair down and laugh at how our language sounds and this was one of those moments***

Blessings!
Melissa
