The first rain
It's been a long time since we have had rain in Chaing Mai; where we live. It's been hot and the pollution has been so bad that it makes it almost impossible for us to do too much outside. Today though was a day of true celebration. It rained, not much but enough to hear thunder and the sound was just so nice. It also helped a little with the pollution.
As I was thinking about how important water is it made me think of my life in Christ. I love this verse;
"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" John 7:38
When I see rain this is the image I have of Christ and it just reminds me that I am fully blessed with all the resources I need to live an abundant and full life. I may have a time of going through the desert but I'm full with the water of life. It was just a wonderful reminder to me of what blessings I have in Christ Jesus.
I just had to say a little prayer to the Lord saying thank you for His continued care of us even when we are already so blessed with all we should need or want. Even in a drought our grass is green, even in the midst of dust and pollution we have good health. This is the life of His children.....
Here's to Living water~
