Kindness; peace-loving

"So as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on ( clothe yourselves) a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience."
Col. 3:12

" But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace."
James 3:17-18

Kindness: Being sensitive and sympathetic, willing to help, generous

Micah 6:8
" He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

Titus 3: 3-8

" For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.
But when the kindness of god our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
Whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
So that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hop of eternal life.
This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men."

Kindness should come easy to us since we have been shown the greatest kindness of all..... Salvation through Jesus Christ.

I can't believe how hard it is at times to show kindness especially when we are wronged or hurt by others. However, this is the greatest test of our gratitude to Christ. Showing that we really do grasp the kindness He has shown to us by extending that same kindness to those who may or may not in our mind "deserve" kindness.

Who were we that we deserved God's kindness?

May we all seek to clothe ourselves with the Lord's Kindness today as we engage the world around us. May we find and take advantage to show kindness to others as we live out the life God has called each of us to live.

2 Peter 1: 5-8
