Awakened

It's 2am in the morning and I'm wide eyed and bushy taled. Why, you ask? I have just flown in from Thailand to Colorado for a meeting. So, jet lag has reared its ugly head. And here I am reading all your blogs and posting. What a surprise (gift from Father) to have internet here. I'm staying at St. Malo Retreat center right outside of Estes park. It is a beautiful place and wow- Colorado is AMAZING! :) * it's my first visit*

So today I'm responding to Tuesday's in "other" words...... but it's a bit late!

" It is insufficient to proclaim that the Church of God has a mission in the world, Rather, the God of mission has a Church."
~Tim Dearborn

For me personally this became a true statement after we left for Asia in 1996. But what started me to really fully understand the idea that we are all sent out and on mission with God was when a little ole lady came up to me and asked me this question.
"Dear, she said, what is the one thing you are going to miss the most?"
My response was, " This church".
She responded, " I could never do what you are doing.... leaving that is."

That caused me to ask the Lord, Why me? It was then that the Lord began to show me through reading in His Word that it was meant for US ALL. Go out and make disciples didn't mean that some went. But rather we should all be challendged to go out. Some of us get to travel to far away places but others just travel shorter distances yet they are traveling... going out in search of lostness....

What I was feeling was right, I'm not special.

I'm obedient.

When God calls us to do something that is our mission. We can either walk in obedience or disobedience.

On a personal note- I wish the word Missionary wasn't in our vocabulary.. that is the work of the enemy to decieve us into thinking it is a Kind of person... not every person! How can we change that? By correcting people and stating it like it is... We are all called to go out... and your missionary experience could be next door, in the town next to you, in the state next to you, or even across borders.

here's to being ON MISSION WITH GOD!
