Judges 13 " God brings a child into the world to rescue Israel"

The child who would rescue the Israelites from the Philistines. Manoah and his wife would receive this news and they would be in awe of such an honor. After a time the child was born and they called him Samson. Judges 13: 24 “ When her son was born, they named him Samson. And the Lord blessed him as he grew up.” This is the beginning of a story most of us grew up with and loved. It is sad though isn’t it that God had to raise a special child up to judge Israel and to rescue them from the Philistines. It would take 40 years before this child came into the world and many more til he would rescue them from the philistines. I was just thinking of people in my life whom I could truly say were rescuers. People who had a special purpose in my life maybe for only a day or maybe for a time. Some were just there to walk through some difficult times but with out them I may not have come through as well as I did. Some were there to give some wise advice or to encourage me to hang on and not to make poor decisions. All of them I believe were sent by God, I felt it then and I know it now. But what if like Samson they were brought into the world for me……… to be there for me……. WOW~ now that is something to think about. And what about me? How can I look at my day and not see it as having purpose? I would just challenge you to think back and give thanks to the Lord for those whom He sent your way either for a divine appointment or maybe just maybe they were brought into this world to fulfill a special purpose and that purpose was to minister to you! I have a few people in my life that have had a profound impact on me and I just can’t help but think, maybe my Heavenly Father had thought to send me a Samson. Lord, thank you for how you take such amazing care of us. Thank you for all the men and women who have been appointed to be in my life for a special purpose. Thank you for sending your Son, to be the rescuer of our Souls. Oh, Lord, you love us more than we deserve. Thank you! Lord I pray for all the women in my life. I pray for them today that if they find themselves in a difficult place that they would Cry out to you and Lord that you would hear them. Send someone to them Lord who will minister to them where they are……. May they realize that everyone they meet has a purpose and may they give you the glory for those close encounters….May they see that they too can be used to encourage and share the hope we have in You. That You are the One True RESCUER! It is in Your name I pray, The Name of Jesus…….. Amen……………
