1 John 1: 8-10

1 John 1:8-10

“If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”

verse 6: “ If we say ………….. and yet walk………..

verse 7: “if we walk……….”

verse 8,9, 10: “If we say…………if we confess…………if we say……….”

Do you think what we say and how we walk have any significance?

I would have to say that YES they do and these two things impact a huge part of our life.

Our relationship with God
And
Our relationship with Man

This chapter starts with stating who God is, Light, and how what we say and where we walk has an impact on our relationship with God and then our relationship with Man.

Take some time for reflection on this chapter and write in your journal what kind of impact this chapter has had on the way you see your life and how you speak and walk.

As we draw near to this climax of this Holiday Season, I pray that you walk in a manner worthy of our Lord. May every thing you do and say draw attention to Him. I pray that you will all reflect on this year and see what things the Lord has taught you. What things He has rescued you from. What things has He blessed you with and What Joy flows from your Cup.

“And these thins we write, so that your JOY may be made complete.”
1 John 1:4
